When we travel from Semarang to Yogyakarta there is a little lake, near Ambarawa Basin named Rawapening Lake, it’s located between Ambarawa and Salatiga. Rawapening literally meaning ‘Clear Swamp’, from the Javanese Bening.
It covers a total area of 2,500 to 2,670 hectares (25.0 to 26.7 km2; 9.7 to 10.3 sq mi).It is shallow and swamplike, with muddy banks. Rawa Pening is estimated to have been formed between 18,000 and 13,500 BC after a period of increased precipitation. It reached its largest size from 11,000 to 9,000 BC, but shrank until it reached its current size around 6,000 BC.
The view is so remarkably beautiful, because we can see reflection of the blue sky by the clear water of the lake.
To get a good photography view, I used a local small boat that you can rent from the local boatmen, for only Rp 120.000 per hour, and of course I used my wide lens, and for sure no tripod, because it is not gonna be steady onboard of the small boat, so it cannot be a slow speed shooting.
The theme of my photographic view at this lake is ‘clear water reflection’, The panorama is just relaxing… mountains… greeneries… pampering the eyes
please enjoy and don’t hesitate to give your words…
